My riding mate Mike (one time 750SF owner) decided to start a Youtube channel on classic bikes. I blame his dad who used to make home movies.
Anyhow, we finally got round to shooting my 3CL "Endurance homage" on a fine day in Wales.
Please don't point out that Laverda did indeed make a 1000cc version of the SFC, I know (I used to own a SFC1000) but I completely forgot as it's so different visually and spiritually to a 750SFC.
Also, yes, I got the year wrong for the Bol D'Or, it was 1972 not 1971.
Finally, yes, they are Ducati 996 brakes, not Laverda 996 (whatever THAT is?), none of this is scripted, just two blokes chatting about and riding old bikes.
Enjoy, or not, but at least Mike knows how to record a bike, as opposed to all those godawful videos on youtube where the mic is in a wind tunnel (having said that, he had the mic upside down for his commentary, so had to overdub!
and we WERE in a wind tunnel for the interview bit)
Whilst he has ridden it before, this is the first time he's ridden it properly in anger, as it were. It's now replaced a Mk1 Lemans as his favourite classic
