I've had a lot of favorite Actor's but say I've had more interest in Anya Taylor Joy as a modern Actor.

Strange looking Woman and Hypnotizing.

I particularly liked her roll in NetFlex's "The Queens Gambit" ;o)

I love Casablanca
I hate Citizen Kane
Gone with the Wind is Okay
Wizard of Oz is okay
Lawrence of Arabia rocks
Dr. Zhivago same
Bridge on the River Kwai

.... and the there is "A Couple of Lips Now" ......

What
Fucking
Ever

Lawrence of Arabia is historically incorrect- he actually crashed at the end.
My faves are “ Carry on up the Khyber” “The great Escape” and if I fancy something more serious Claude Rains “ The Invisible Man” or “ Went the day Well”
or any ‘70’s porn for that matter..

Denzel Washington has made superb films throughout his career. Michael Cain has made good films but also some dross. Alan Rickman was a superb actor. More difficult to state a female actress as they rarely get leading roles but Rachel Weiss stands out. Women always play suspense films well. All aod and done I'm not sure whether the actor makes the film or the film makes the actor....

I've got to agree with most of the 'recommended' flics ..... but for me

American Beauty (not as much the actors but the sub sub sub plot)

Anyone (actors) but Tom Cruise.

I like films with Doug McClure,Mel Gibson or James Coburn. Then I know not to bother watching them. With the exception of The Virginian,The Magnificent Seven and Mad Max (1).

Apart from Ron, not many ladies in your lists and only anglo-saxons.

You'll all be riding BSA Bantams next. And yes, I do know that they're a DKW copy.

Simone Signoret, Catherine Deneuve and Jean Gabin are hard to beat, if french flics rock your boat... certainly not mine, maybe it's the translation that loses me. Don't understand enough french to view them in original. Lino Ventura has always been a favourite, nevertheless.

Barbara Stanwyk, Humphrey Bogart, Marlon Brando, Robert Redford, Sigourney Weaver, Paul Newman, Kathleen Turner, Steve McQueen, Charlize Theron, Jack Nicholson, John Hurt, Dennis Hopper, Linda Hunt, Morgan Freeman, Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Antonio Banderas, Nick Nolte, Anthony Hopkins are some of my Hollywood favourites. John Travolta was impressive in Pulp Fiction, not much else.

Eraserhead (Jack Nance)
Two Lane Blacktop (Warren Oates,James Taylor,Dennis Wilson,Laurie Bird)
Ghost Story (Fred Astaire,Alice Krige)
Duel (Dennis Weaver)
Touch of Evil (Orson Welles,Dennis Weaver,Akim Tamiroff)
Frenzy (Barry Foster,Anna Massey)
Diva (Frederic Andrei-great moped ride through Paris Metro)

Hey! I love Halley Berry and Grace Park, a Canadian Asian girl whom acted in probably the best episode of Battlesar Galactica
"RAZOR": https://fmovies.wtf/film/battlestar-galactica-razor.45xx/kwyq84w
She started acting in "Hawaii 5-0" playing a female Bruce Lee.

As far as female actresses go, it's hard to beat Bett Davis, Gene Tierney, Ingrid Bergman, Elizabeth Taylor, Olivia de Havilland and Vivien Leigh : https://fmovies.wtf/star/gene-tierney

Highly suggest you watch "The Ghost and Mrs Muir" with Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney: https://fmovies.wtf/film/the-ghost-and-mrs-muir.rwroy/2or1w70 ;o)

I liked Gene Tierney movies growing up as a kid. She could really play some dark roles. Beautiful looking Woman - Like my Mother ;o)
I wound sheaths of wool into balls of yarn for my Mother.

Great clothing design in that show, too, captured all those great styles of the era.
She’s quite gorgeous IMHO.

Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich from the old era.

Gene Hackman, George Clooney, David Strathairn of the more modern group, as well as Jennifer Connelly andKate Blanchett. Oh, and from Clooney’s film The American the female lead, Italian actress and singer Violante Placido was stunning.
