HHHmmmm, '76 hey. Might go and get the engine and frame numbers and look it up. As for the alu tank 545GBP too much at this stage, but it sure looks nice!
 
It does look like that except rusty and with high imola pipes, but a question for you which I couldn't find an answer to on the ducrappi forums, where the fuck do you find engine and frame numbers? Had a reasonable look over it all and apart from a QLD mod plate for single seat I couldn't find a VIN, compliance or any other plate and no stampings that I could see.  :o


edit: Found the engine number 086904 DM860 which makes the engine a 1977 but that's a guess from http://www.bevelheaven.com/data-squarecase.htm

Will search for a frame number in the daylight. Still can't find a compliance plate which is a bit of a worry!




 
Drikko - Jonny's SS (as I recall) had the sort of tank in blab's photo when he got it , and at one point it (and the fairing & sidecovers) was resprayed red & white? That might have been after he'd dropped it. Long time ago now.

There's a red and white fairing still under his 'house', didn't see any tanks though. I'll have a chat to him and see what the go is.

Cape's still not warm enough for my liking, but warm enough to get out on one of the Morinis....

IIRC, he'd dinged one side of the old tank with the clipons. Might explain eventually getting the Imola tank?
 
So the dented tank was on the 860 which is still rotting under Jonny's house next to the CB750s, next in line after Gitchys SF3 to fix up (the 860, not the CB750s). The original red and white metal tank on this 900 he gave to Nick along with the lowset mufflers for some reason and they fitted the glass imola tank, upswept imola mufflers and the matching fairing to this bike, the original red and white SS fairing is still in Jonny's laundry area collecting dust and rat shit :)
