Fist startup. with oil leak.

was the engine apart for a rebuild, or a cam chain replacement? where exactly is the leak?

Pull it out and start again, this time inspecting for cracks and correct fitment of the head-barrel joint. Maybe have somebody who knows what he's doing look at it.

If the liners have been replaced at any time and the height of the spigots not checked then that is highly likely your problem. The head gasket sealing area of the spigot must be slightly recessed.

An easier fix would be if the head gasket flame ring is not to spec thickness - have had these and you can literally see daylight between the mating surfaces (before bolting down!) which is a sure sign that something isn't right. There was a batch of gaskets around quite some time ago with this issue. Motor sounds good!
 
Torqued down the head bolts today.
Every bolt needed 1/3 turn for correct torque value.
Startup tomorrow , fingers crossed she is tight
 
the recess in the head for some SFC motors is shallower than for SF models, if you have this mod (very lucky man) then the up stand on your (if stock) cylinders could be too high, I doubt that is your problem, more likley (as the engine not built by you) has sufferred something maybe a holed piston, and is now wearing an uncorrected warped head.

or a blocked breather (kinked pipe)
you look like you need to get it out and get in there.

Yes, the chase an oil leak routine. " I think it's coming from there ".
In fact it's coming from somewhere else altogether.

I had that recently with my wife's 500 which appeared to be dripping oil from an exhaust at the head. With the exhaust off, it was dry inside. Leak turned out to be from the cam cover gasket.

On a 750, as Tippie mentions, check rev counter drive, but also the cam end cover itself, they often leak, and the tappet inspection covers.

Slightly worried that whoever "did" the engine hadn't torqued the head down properly.
Did they have the primary drive sprocket off?
If so, you REALLY need to take a look at it, before it damages your crankshaft.
