Fixing the clutch 1970/71 SF750

After getting totally frustrated with the clutch action and feel, plus the clutch not wanting to release when hot, I jumped in today and stripped it all down.
Rusty steel discs, undersize and polished friction discs (signs of slipping), under size springs (with extra washers to bring them up to length) and this damage to the clutch centre! There is no corresponding damage to my engine so i'm guessing that this entire clutch assembly came from another bike. What would cause this damage, notice that the inner friction disc has barely been touching the surface due to the surface being warped/bent outwards.

Red is your clutch plates man in brizzy. Sounds like you need a new clutch basket as well. I got a new one for my 3C from Eades when mine was warped, probably 20ish years ago. You could try Wolfgang, or Red may be able to help. Also Chris Gaff in Perth.
