Just 11 months - standing still from from previous carb rebuild (mates Honda I'm recommisioning, but Lav relevant).
Ethanol - don't ya love it! Drain those float bowls, or fill 'em with some sort of preserver (I flood them with neat redex).
Under a magnifying glass, the brassware is seriousy pitted > copper attack > hence the green tinge I suspect.

Just don't use ethanol it is crap and destroys motors. Proven in the US that 15% destroys engines yet here in Australia they continue to use 10%, less mileage per tank and engine damage, no good for the environment or agricultural lands for food supplies, yet our numpty governments continue to push it....

Maybe the oil companies should start selling that additive to the Hydro Drug Blokes, seems to get a good crop in crazy places.

Actually it's only one numpty continuing to push it well two, Katter senior and junior. They must have shares in ethanol companies....

I use a few years Aspen+, that?s almost ethanol free and very pure 98 octane petrol thus no octane booster or so needed. Never after that had any problems with the carbs because I had the same problems as you mention.
The only point is that it?s about 3 Euro a liter so very expensive, but ofcourse if you ride much you can use it the last ride of the summer and fill the tank with Aspen for the winter stop. Ideal stuff for classic bikes, last year after 7 months standing in the garage it starts in 2 seconds and running perfect after that.
Look at the web and you can read more about it.
