Hello,
I'm new to this forum (and Laverda honestly). I'm looking to get some parts during winter to be ready for spring repairs. I'm looking for float valves which are easy enough to find for Dellorto carbs but I don't know the size. Anyone know what size a 1984 RGS 1000 uses? Also, I need exhaust gaskets. What's a good parts source in the U.S.? Any help will be much appreciated.

I have found that when using speed figures above most national limits, that the engine can beat the float bowls, I use 300's and on one fuel tank three pet cocks, not usually a problem until you get close to reserve with your right hand doing some high twisting, and then you think you are running short of fuel (which the engine is) but in reality you are a fair way off reserve fuel level, its just that the height of the fuel is reduced, when the taps are on main, and you are getting close to reserve, switching to reserve at that point will double the fuel height and give you a false reading. This happenned to me a while ago on the road and I changed things to cope, but re-appeared later when TOG was on the dyno and getting low on fuel (near reserve but not that near) this was with a two tap tank
