I have updated the Flywheel puller drawing. Frank pointed out that his thread was M45 and not M44.  :-[ Thanks for this info Frank. I am sorry if this was the case for the other people as well.

Cheers

great stuff, thanks for sharing. is it the same for series 1 and series 2 engines, please?

No!

Mk II engines require a simple M16x1.5 bolt... available from OCT if you can't find it elsewhere, Lothar.  If needed in a hurry, you can use your front axle! :D

I made one of these last year, well partly at least, I had a machine shop do the internal threading. Wouldn't you know it but a week later I found a brand new one at the bottom of a box of parts! Now I have two!

The center bolt from my 180 puller is the correct thread for 120 type rotors so 1 puller does both.

You're lucky, Neale.

Scorch specified M16 thread, this has a 2mm pitch... won't fit the Mk II flywheel!

Neale,

I too have a factory tool but it's never occurred to me to check that... :-[  Instead, I use a simple short hex bolt and a rattle gun on a low setting.

As it stands, Scorchs' tool won't fit both unless he specifies M16x1.5 thread. ;)

sfcpiet - So if I update that dimesion to M16 x 1.5 the puller will work on all the engines?

If that is the case I will do it... No problem...

OK well here is the update drawing Rev 2

Are there any other stuff I can model/draw for you guys... I have made a tool to lock the sprocket on the crank... I can give you thosee drawings ready for laser cut..

One more suggestion if I may.
Adding two flats so that you can hold the puller still while you turn the screw.
