dont believe what has been written and reported, they fucked up, are dyslexic and dont give a shit. A very common mistake, the long and the short of it is, if you like it, buy it and drink it, who cares whats printed on the label.
a month ago I was given a bottle of red wine in thanks for a favour carried out, the lady concerned is known to be a cheapskate, but on pouring a generous glass of it on Thursday night, I had but two mouthfulls, binned the rest of the glass, and the folowing day, binned the rest in the bottle! I have never done that in my entire life, and as my Michelin starred brother in law chef would say, "cooking wine? you only get the best out if you put the best in" so I didnt keep it for that purpose either.

Port is a wine. Made with grapes, not a distilled liquor.

No, Alzero, it doesn't 'age' in the bottle. However, it can become "fragile", so like my 1914 Croizet Grande Champagne Cognac, figure on drinking it all, quite soon after opening the bottle.

I think that Port is what the anglo-saxons call a fortified wine since a grape "eau de vie" is added to the wine.
Sherry or Xeres is comparable.
