For Sale: Extremely rare early Laverda 1200T – #7 off the production line (Frame/ Engine LAV. 12001007) – £9250 ONO
Early 180 degree Crankshaft not later 120
Due to retirement I’m reluctantly considering selling one of my classic motorcycles. This is a very early 1200T (possibly the oldest surviving example), frame and engine number 1007, the 7th bike off the production line.
Completely rebuilt by Laverda specialist , LG Express (2019)
Previously owned by A14 RGS Laverda forum Forum Member (2019–Sept 2025)
Show winner and well-known bike on the Laverda forum – anyone active there will recognise it
Rebuild mileage: 10, 995 – current mileage: 13, 400(only 2, 405 miles since the complete rebuild)
I have added around 1000 miles since purchasing it in September 2025 and milage may still rise as I am still using bike , the last picture was taken (1st Aug)
The bike is in superb, near-as-new condition and has been very lightly used ( since I bought it a couple of runs in September plus a few recent outings)
This is a genuine, well-documented early 1200T with outstanding provenance and mechanical history. It rides and looks superb – a real piece of Laverda history. there are photos of the restoration available to serious buyers.
the bike was completely restored , frame and wheels powder coated, Engine completely rebuilt with overhauled crank, rebored, new bearings new clutch assembly , duplex primary drive chain, Cylinder head overhauled, new valves , guides, cam bearings. Engine was aqua blasted and casings polished.
Carbs were stripped and ultrasonically cleaned, all internals replaced
Brakes overhauled, all new parts new disks, HEL braided brake pipes
Electrics Ignatech programable electronic ignition, Shindengen Reg/Rec Nology coils, Kawasaki 250 w alternator conversion, completely re-wired, refurbished clocks,
Petrol tank blasted and painted by Bike Paints, original sidepanels and ducktail tailpiece with carbon fibre inner, seatbase painted and fitted with original Elderado seat cover.
Exhaust: rechromed downpipes, and collector, new chrome silencers,
530 chain conversion
Basically , when this bike was restored , every part was repaired or replaced it must be one of the nicest 1200T s in the country
Location: Glasgow Price: £9250 ONO
Serious enquiries only please – I’m in no rush to sell and already have several other classics and only looking to downsize the bikes I have . Happy to answer any questions or provide more photos/ details. I am selling this bike as I have several classics mostly restored by myself, this bike has had everything done to it and must be one of the best available I am downsizing my bike collection due to retiring this year.
