Fork gaiters Ceriani 35mm

Riccardo Oros" are spot on and clamps. Wagners look the same but price is very high (as always) Tom collected then for me,but think price was about half that of AW. with clamps. You need the fork reducer spacers from Andy Wagner. Item 52.

I put some similar on last year Matt. Whilst I was rebuilding/valving the front end.
I think the original ones look a bit more period, especially with the chunky metal clips, but these do the job.

Thanks for your tips, I have looked around online for a while, including the Ariete catalog, but nothing has caught the discerning rivet counters eye yet. Originally it's 50mm top and bottom and 15 folds. Andy had them listed red lately but now has them listed as available again so I ordered them there. We all know his prices but he has always been very reliable.

I ran gatters on my 3c for years, but they make tuning your forks impossible to see and measure. So mine went byb byb.

Once I started checking fork travel used the gatters had to go, and never came back. Less chance of rust as well without as you can check to see if pinpricks of rust are starting, you also see very early if your seals are leaking. Your bike so your choice, they do look very traditional on old bikes, and as I said I had them on mine for 20 years but then I had reasons to pull them off.

You don't live in the UK Vince, without gaiters forks have a pretty tough time and the seals fail far more frequently. I just don't like them though ;)

If your talking road salt then yes I have never seen it, well maybe at our ski resorts but the bike never went there in winter. But we do have plenty of long dirt roads that get pounded to fine abrasive dust. As I said I ran them by choice for years, found and fitted by me as it didn't have them when bought 34years ago. You just cannot do the cable tie trick with them on and you need to if your playing with forks.
