Fork seal life.

From the other thread, I am interested in what others do re fork seals. 1 or 2 per leg and how that went for you.
1 seal and it leaked 5 minutes after type stuff. I will get some grief for this from ... but a sample of 2 doesn't a survey make. I have been told 1 seal and it's fine and I hope that will happen with mine and that's what I am doing but it would be interesting to see what others have done over the years. Me first, I did mine 20 years ago with 2 / 7mm seals each leg and it leaked from 1 recently.Be great to see what others have experienced.

Been running single seals for quite a few years now, no leaks and less stiction.

Correct

We have discussed many times now.

If you are concerned about the seal moving in the space under the circlip ( though never had  one move in lets see now 40 plus years but then guess there is always a first time.............you can always use a small piece of conduit the correct size..........
Your new seals have a wiper also dont they so once you the seal and the wiper not sure if there would be any space left under the circlip anyways.

Had one in and always had a smear of fork oil and tide line on the stanchions. Have just ripped them out and gone back to 2 seals per fork, Ariete brand.
