Forum Calendar August 2022

I dont suppose for a minute that there would be any objections from my generous Laverda friends if new volunteers came forward to "do" a calendar for 2023, it must be a huge amount of work and leaves one open to a lot of critisism, I dont feel we should be deprived if a year off is requested.

It would be massive work and this kinda organising is not in my wheelhouse by any means but happy to help in anyway possible 👍

Would a pragmatic alternative be that we collate a gallery of candidate photos in a specific thread on the forum then users can self select their favourites and build their own calendar, printed and delivered to them? I just went on https://www.photobox.co.uk/ and knocked up the attached front cover and first 2 months with a few photos and no editing/sizing. You can choose different print quality, layouts, sizes etc. They do deliver outside the UK but I'm sure everyone will have something similar locally.

That's a good idea.
Photobox does exist outside the UK, for instance in France, it becomes photobox.fr.
In Holland, photobox.nl
In Germany photobox.de
Und so weiter, und so weiter as my Vater used to say.

would reduce the cat herding, octopus stuffing element of the job and let us focus on the good bit of collecting nice pictures. would reduce the contentious nature of photo selection as you can choose your own

The disadvantage of the system is that you wouldn't have the satisfaction of knowing that your cherished photo was gracing the wall of somebody's toilet.

one could always choose to find 13 pictures of Laverdas with busty adornment and make an old skool calendar of the sort that used to adorn all mechanics workshop walls

true, we could go as far as creating the 'official, voted by the forum' calendar. I'm sure photobox would have a way to share a link to a created calendar for others to order. or I guess there's a way to share the one you choose to make so others can see if their pic is on it, that could be contentious 'hey! why isn;t my pic on there!' :)

Ok since it’s owner won’t/doesn’t know how to deal with this fangled posting technology, I have permission to post a picture of the “killer Jota”
