I suspect this has been advised somewhere but having peered through all the user settings/preferences I cannot see where you set it so that in a thread the messages are listed with the most recent first - i.e. in descending date order.

Cheers, Nick

PS. here is a pic of 6949 on the old road just so you don't feel I've wasted your time ;)

Sadly you can't - it's the one feature that I miss from SMF.
The only thing I can suggest is you browse via the 'What's new' tab which will navigate you to the most recent content that you haven't previously read.

No worries - great pic BTW. Just what I'd like to be doing instead of thawing out a frozen boiler condensate pipe early this morning in -3C temps!

Thanks blokes. I'll stop searching for that non existent-setting. Anyhow, it's simple to click on the displayed time for the last post.
ay Nick, I love that pic. My first Laverda was a 1979 Jota. Loved it. Let's just say that it was a significant life changing moment.
As I said to the nurse in the orthopaedic ward, it's not all about the motorcycles.

On mine it opens at the most recent page and I can click "Jump to new" and it starts at what has come since I last logged off. At first it opened at the first thread of a title, not sure how it changed to what it now is.
