According to the seller my newly acquired bike is a 750 GTF. Is it correct that that is a GT with a S-frame? If so, what are the differences between these?
The original 1970 T saddle I just bought does not fit, which has probably to do with this issue (apart from the fact that the mounting tabs of the current Suzuki saddle are in the way :().

GT and S frames differ notably at the top engine mounts. Post a pic without the tank and we'll decide what you have. There are more differences, but they are more subtle, not all immediately visible.

What are the frame and engine numbers?

Isn't a GTF frame identical to an SF?
Paul
No.

GT part # 60 101 019, SF part # 60 101 370. Quite different top engine mount and flatter steering angle for the GT, along with a few other odds and sods to cater for the GT-unique bits.

Unfortunately, only the SF type is depicted in the parts books, but with 2 reference #s.
