most people would write off that frame and got a replacement, so very well done to Red and his team, A personal choice but I would not have ground off the reinforcing if I had been the welder doing that, and I have done quite a few, but none of them actually broken off, that changes a lot of things. My preferance is not to hide the repair but to show it, and that it has been done properly, the "polishing off" also creates multiple "flats" on the tube work, which when you think about it is thinning the metal although not by much, the sleeving of course beefs the whole thing up somewhat.
