Front Brake Problem

I have a LaVerda RGS1000.  Replaced front brake light switch. Bled system. Unable to get a brake. Replaced master cylinder seals and piston. Pressure bled system. Still no brake. Any suggestions? Am at wits end... please help?

Try wrapping a strap around the lever to hold it to the bar and leave overnight- bubbles should rise and Bob's yer uncle.

Try removing the m/c off the bar and invert it, then try pumping it.
I did this after a similar scenario to you and it finally started working. Air was trapped at the bend where the hose entered the m/c.
Worth a try.

Do as Grant states but for what it's worth put the RGS on the side stand, remove most of the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir but keep enough so the level still covers the bottom of the reservoir and not allow air in to the intake. This is to prevent spilling hydraulic fluid when you remove the master cylinder from the handlebar. Remove the master cylinder and rotate it with the lever pointing as high as possible so that the air can move upwards out of the banjo. Now the important part, gently squeeze the lever only a small amount so that the port is just opened, repeat this several times slowly and you should observe a stream of small air bubbles. Top up the reservoir if required.
I got this tip from Piet and had a rock solid front brake on the RGS within 5 mins.

Piston replaced to correct height?  Lever has clearance to piston?

A good way is also: use a big syringe (200ml or so) and a silicon tube. connect the tube with both the syringe and the brake caliper and slowly open the bleeder. now fill the caliper by pushing the syringe in until fluid comes up the master cylinder reservoir. do the same on the other caliper and follow the steps regarding getting the last bit of air out (master cylinder off the handle-bar etc.).

If all that does not work, your master cylinder might be up for a renovation. For help refer to:

Especially as you renewed the switch:
sometimes air bubbles are captured in the hose junction.
Unscrewing it from the fork yoke and holding it in different
positions during bleeding helps.

Thanks to you all for your help.  Eventually, I have a working front brake.  Started at the top and worked down.  Pressure bled them with help of friend/mechanic.  Small amount of air trapped.
