when using a vacuum brale bleeder..
open the nipple around 180 degrees from totally shut, and then make a "fillet" of grease around the nipple thread, messy I know, but the fluid and trapped air will always take the easiest route out of the system into the bleeder, the greese provides an air tight seak on the thread.
There are aftermarket self bleeding nipples made in the USA by speedbleeder, they have a tiny valve inside the nipple to allow air out but retain fluid, and also a coating on the thread to seal the nipple to the bleeder even when it is loosened. The coating lasts about 20 on/off operations and can be recoated at home.
highly desirable, not cheap, but very useful especially on Laverda rear callipers.
I have imported a bulk issue of them in all Brembo sizes, should you wish to buy, email me at "clemlav@tinyonline.co.uk" telling the thread sizes and pitch of your callipers, likely to be 6mm x 1.0
