Fuel Taps Question

For the RGS and SFC tanks longer is better (like a lot of things) due to the shape of the tank. My RGS will go about 22.8 kilometers after switching over. Yes, I found this out the hard way  :D. Not all but a lot of the reproduction stuff available is slightly different from the originals. Different diameters, different tube and filter lengths, etc... Most of our Laverda parts places have all of this sorted out but if you buy from another scource  do take the time to compare what you get with what you started with.

It's more serious than you think.
I put some repos in an italian bike, they had the short filters compared to the originals long filters.
I used to get about 50 kms on reserve, went on to reserve on the repos, ran out of fuel in about 5 kms.
Had to push it .

Our bikes are such finely tuned, well-oiled machines, this was the only thing left to sort.

....besides, it's cold and snowy outside.....what else is there to do?  :D

Cover to cover, but it leaves a lot of details out.  Not the best. Good thing this forum is available!  :-*

Workshop manuals generally do not take into account that dozens of fuckwits un-knowing owners play havoc with the described machines over several decades... that is left over to "restoration manuals". ::)

Time might be ripe to write one, hey Grant! :D

I'm lookin' for a nice quiet, warm place to retire in about 10 years.  Good food, wine, nice women.  Willing to work as an apprentice in the right shop.  I have my own screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.  Spain, maybe?

Though Spain is a great country and spanish people are for sure nice, I'd prefer Italy. But only for maybe 3 months at a time, else I would go nuts with my german expectations of quality, reaction times and organization I guess...  :-[

I wouldn't last 3 months in Germany...  :-*

After reading about your bike registration odysseys and the Spanish bureaucracy that you?ve overcome I?m confident that you?d see Germany as a bike registration heaven  :D
