FYI: the EuroSpares website has moved

For those of you who have made use of the material (16500+ files) on my website over the last 25+ years, please note that I have sold the eurospares.com domain to an automotive parts company in England and it is now redirecting to their website. However, I do have a new domain name for the website:

motoconstructor.com

and that is live and has a link to the old material. I hope to add some new material and slowly reorganize things, but I've got plenty of hosting space so the old website will remain available in a static/archived format. Unfortunately, 25 years worth of other people posting links to the old domain are now not going to work, but oh well . . .

Also, my eurospares email address (also of 25+ years) ceased with the change of ownership. There's a mailto: tag on the new home page that gives an address which will reach me.

ETA: I deleted the www. from the URL as that seems to be causing problems for some people when they used it.

Thanks Michael - it's good to know that this info is still available to all, along with your extremely disappointing warning to Laverda owners.
 
My hosting is prepaid for the next 5-6 years, so all the old information will be around at least that long.

There's not much on the new site yet -- except for everything that was on the old site. I don't see a big need to try to revise the old website, I'd rather leave it as it is and see about a new direction for the change to the new domain name. When I started the original site I was actively racing dirt and pavement and involved in modern and vintage bikes, so there was a lot of info/photos on vintage race bikes.

I'm thinking I want to have the new part of motoconstructor to be more on the design and construction topics. If I have a photo of a vintage/race bike that illustrates what I want to talk about, then I'll use it. But if a modern bike is more appropriate then that will get the nod. Since I don't have anything more vintage than my 1978 Guzzi SP1000 (and won't get anything else vintage in the future) and I don't find that modern MotoGP technology seems very relevant to much of "motorcycles in general" , then there may not be much call to have vintage or race vehicles. Same thing with dirt bikes, I don't ride dirt anymore and other than a few small thing there's largely been no change in dirt bike technology over the last 20-25 years, so I may not have much need to reference dirt bikes either.

I'll have to see, this sale of the domain came up and was made very quickly, it wasn't something I had planned on. But money talked!
