I have looked through the various posts about the "Zané" fuel pump but have not found the answer I was looking for.
I am brand new to the Zane universe and have recently become the happy owner of a beautiful Ghost (tubular frame) from late Graham E. Chappell, the former Laverda dealership's owner in North Carolina, USA.
I then imported her to Belgium, Europe, back in 2023.
The engine was running before the winter and started immediately.
I tried to start the engine a few days ago without success.
Stupidly ... I forgot to drain the fuel tank before winter installation
When I turned the ignition key the characteristic sound of the fuel pump being activated has disappeared.
All relays and fuses seem okay.
I'm suspecting a gummed pump issue.
Questions
What are the double connections (see picture below) on the upper side of the fuel tank under the seat for ?
How and where can I directly power the fuel pump in order to test it ?
Thank you for your help.
Cheers.
Stéphane
