Two of the four rubber mounting “cotton reels“ have come off my Witt ignition box.
Never had much luck with superglue or the general purpose epoxy glues
Any recommendations for a glue - rubber to alloy
Thanks Richard

Look up 6mm vibration dampers on the worlds favourite search engine. I found a pack of 4 for under £10.

Thanks but not making myself clear
The bobbins have screw one end and plain rubber the other.
The plain rubber ends are glued to the back of the unit
I have the bobbins but need some decent glue to fix them back on

There are some good double sided tapes used in the automotive industry that may work. We use two pot cements for rubber to metal but are in bigger quantities and expensive.

I used some double sided Gorilla tape to hold two rubber buffers to my vans helper leaf springs. Still there after being squashed almost every bump of 15,000klms.

I used Selleys Power Grip, from Bunnys to glue the plastic Voltmeter to my alloy dash last week, and it worked well. Best to scratch up both surfaces to get a good bite. It did need overnight to set so support the weight till it goes off

I've attached some hot water pipe insulation foam to an alloy plate bolted to my mudguard - the Ignitech unit slides firmly inside the foam tube.

Used velcro with adhesive backing and it's stuck like ... glue! You could use it for the rubber bungs on your ignition box - removable too!

Velcro was used for the same on my bike, the glue on the back of the velcro failed after a while, that bit was on the back of the battery box. You need to at least clean where you stick it with Denatured Alcohol, or at least that's my next time plan for hopefully longer use.

Don't drink it.

Are you sure the part the rubber broke off of isn't screwed into the Witt housing? Mine were broken on the used box I had. Found bobbins [4mm stud IIRC] and had to shorten the side screwed into the unit.
