GT Gas Tank Knee Pads & Rev Counter Shaft O ring

I imagine these Gt Knee pads are obsolete but anyway I can use some kind of rubber trim around the edges of the lip. Leave it as is. Any suggestions?
& then what size O ring for the Rev Counter shaft? & is there only one. There are 2 grooves on that shaft. Manual shows one.
& is there supposed to be a gasket for the top Rev Counter Shaft support cover? I don't ever remember one...

No gasket.
O ring: Rev counter drive : 13 ID x 2 thick
