Has anyone got a photo of an original GTL seat they could send me please?

I have GTL seat but it's got a ratty non original cover. I've been in touch with a seat covering guy but he would like photo's of what I'm looking for. Can't find any decent ones on web.

cheers
Sean

I need my GTL seat recovered. The original cover was replaced with a leather one several decades ago, and now that one is past it's best. I was in touch with Tony O'Connor in Oz (recommended somewhere on this forum), but he needs on original cover to act as a template.

I've been told that the GTL seat is special, ie. other seats won't fit. So before I buy a replacement (Andy W has some on his site) does anyone know about this? Is the frame width different on the GTL?
My seat has two hinges on the side and lifts up from the side.

Does anyone know of a company that can recover a seat if they get the seat pan. Doesn't have to match the original, just a decent seat.

thanks
Sean

I just had an e-mail conversation with Tony about my letterbox seat that he didn't have the correct cover for. He recommended sending the base to him to finish, which I will probably do since I don't have the foam either. Just need to finish repairs to the seat base, paint etc...

I was surprised how reasonable the cost was considering shipping USA - Australia.

Nice result Sean!

Do you have the support strut to hold the seat open? I can't supply any parts, but you can get an idea what it looks like and how it works.

Yeah, they've suffered my fat arse for over 30 years now... ain't no trailer queen Tom!

FWIW, I've already printed a batch in the correct height doing away with those alloy spacers, just too busy lazy to fit them. Looking closer, there's a fair bit more lacking.

Treading thin ice there, Chris!:censored: In truth, too uncomfortable for her, the rear padding isn't really up to scratch for anything over 20km. D only pillions on the RGS. Strangely enough, the front bit is quite OK... wierd!

Distance could save your arse there Chris. You wouldn’t be so crass or stupid to say that if you were on the same continent let alone country😂😂😤
