Usually the UJ starts vibrating which you can feel through the RH footpeg, before it explodes..

An idiot mate started believing the hype and tried using his Torquise Pari Dakar BMW as a full-blow Adventure bike, jumping water bars at speed, all good till he snapped the swingarm and drive shaft off the bike. Braking those rear ends costs a motsa to fix.

NTX750 from 1990. Apparently not uncommon with small block motors, not necessarily lack of maintenance. Was on it's way from Sweden to the Italbike meet in central Norway. I know of an earlier 650 one that went Europe to Malaysia and back.

Probably due to acute angle of UJ due to suspension travel. I imagine that one was vibrating/ noisey like mad for a long time before exploding. V-max just snap of pinion clean in the bevel box, seen a few of those.
