Hammerite should be renamed paintwrong
A few years ago I went to the trouble of getting a twelve foot full length safari roofrack sand blasted from/for my Land Rover, as it was looking a buit scabby. The sand blasters recomended spraying it with Hammerrite straight away, before the air can oxidise the bare metal finish, for which they would only charge a very small amount extra, so I readilly agreed, and it looked brill, four weeks later it was going rusty four months later, in the bottom of little "pock" marks, all over it, and I was painting it again, this time myself, having had it sand blasted again,we now possed our own sand blaster, I then did a three coat finish, red oxide, grey primer, silver metallic gloss top, it lasted from then until now.never used Hammerrite again.
