Just to give you guy's, a update on switches.. Andyw, did send me a set of switches, and I will be returning them, in the next few day's . All refurbished and looking good. I will post some photo's soon. Watch this space..
:D :D

Just to give you guys, an update on the switches I just restored, and sent back last week.. I did a track and trace, on there return progress, and are still not delivered.. Posted to andyw... In Australia, so could still take a while .. :(.  But let me post some photo's I took just before I sent them back.. There the same as Suzuki gt switches, with small differences... I think andy will be pleased .. :P.  how do you reduce the size of a photo? As Say's it's too big.. And must be 200 in size? I would go onto, photobucket, and reduce the size, but Can you do it on this site somewhere? I am on other motorcycle forums, and have no problem. ???

andyw isn't always there to take deliveries, he spends a lot of time OS.

Well thanks... But if there's  nobody to sign for the package, then it will be sitting at the post office, ready for him to collect... But I don't know how the Australian postal service works, on non collected parcels,  but here in the UK, if not collected after a week, gets sent back, to who sent it....  :-[  >:D

I believe that has changed now, the card that landed on my mat the other day stated 18 days before going back to sender.

Haven't they just moved the goalposts again and are allowed to dump the stuff with your neighbour?
Tidies up their end dramatically but what if you don't get on with your neighbour or they can't be trusted?

Ok thanks....  I have lots of photo's to post on here, but how do you reduce the size? B.

You do NOT have to shrink them!

If you first save your full-size photo in somewhere like Photobucket, you will NOT have to shrink it when posting in this forum.

Click 'REPLY', then click on the 'INSERT IMAGE' icon (third one along second row), then you need the shortcut from photobucket for that image to insert between the two sets of brackets - JOB DONE!!!

never tried that before, thanks Simon.

Hi Keith,

You have used the link to the display page in Flickr rather than the link to the image itself (which usually ends with .jpg)...

I think you were trying to use:

9137650137_9122ae82d0_c.jpg

To get there, right click over the image in Flickr and choose the "View all sizes" option then right click over the image that then appears and:

  • If you are using Internet Explorer choose "Properties" in and then copy the URL
  • If you are using Chrome choose "Copy image URL"

Not sure what the command is in Firefox...

Hope that helps.

(Lovely image by the way!!!)

Success... Some Suzuki switches in the process of refurbishment ..

Andyw, sent me some switches, and I picked the best one's to refurbish..

Returned back.. Might be sitting in a recycle bin, outside his house... Don't all rush round to get the new switches..

Hi Keith,

I use Flickr and Photobucket, to be honest Photobucket is much easier to get a link as it is right there on the right of the image in a litle box. You have to go searching with Flickr as Dick has described.

Mr Switch Guy, you do a great job by the looks of it, I will get you to have a go at my switchgear soon - I do have a few.

No problem Simon, let me know when you want to send, and I will keep a look out... Some people I have done switches before, just send them to me with,no return address, or phone call,  but don't tell me, and I end up scratching my head, as to who sent them... I have to use the force (scratch) as you can see, I use two orange colours, and I like the more redy orange, as once fitted look grate!!! Some kawasaki z1 switches.. I get them like this....

Guys,

I just got my RGS1000SFC switches back from Brown.  Very nice job!  Like new, or better.  Highly recommend him.  Turnaround was quick (even to the Colonies) and quality is top shelf.

It's always good to find a craftsman one can trust to do the job right.  Especially with the seemingly increasing number of crap operators out there these days.

Cheers.

S

Hi Everone,

Yep, I've got my switches now (post office girlie had crates of stuff for me :D) and they look fab!

Sorry i can't post any pictures as i'm now officially On Tour in the States, suffice it to say they do indeed look as good as they do in the pictures above and, although still a little stiff as yet, they seem to work ok. Haven't actually fitted them to the bike yet (they look too good to use!!)  but will do so next time I'm back in the 'ville (sept) before going onto my next job in WA..

First class job 'Mr Brown): will send you some more switches presently.

Rgds
