Hi, I am looking for the top handlebar clamp which also mounts the ingnition switch and clocks for a triple. Early type that takes two separate ND instruments and ignition sw.

Cheers

Mel

The TS one is cut down due to the plastic clocks being used.
From his description he wants the alloy bracket that takes the ignition switch and instrument mounts.

Sorry, I should have said the normal triple type to mount two separate ND clocks. Not the cut down type for the later TS type instrument binnacle.

Cheers

On this topic. Does anyone know where i can get the rubber channel that goes between the clocks and the mounting bracket please. Mine has deteriorated. Thanks

Has to be polished.

Not the early 3C  twin instrument holder then?

Supposedly the early 3C instrument holder is the same as the later 3C instrument holder ......... unless you have the later, later instrument holder that they didn't use ...... but shows up on many 3C's ....... and my 74 SFC.

Does that help?

That makes it the one-piece aluminium version with an ND-switch
The earlier versions had separate clamps and a steel-bracket (which would occasionally crack)
with a Bosch-switch.

Depends.

1) the early 3C instrument holder is the same as the SF1 instrument holder, unless it's a later one which can be found on earlier ones since the earlier ones break.

2) Only American market 16 000 17 000 series SFC have instrument holders along with a large rear light, indicators and all the necessary hardware making the bikes look like a tarted up cowboy porn actor which is why they fetch a lot of money at Mecum. Unless it's fake, cum, not SFC. Real virile SFCs only have a tacho fixed to the fairing.

3) But a lot of bikes have been modified in the last 50 years, which is why people write books on the marque, earn a lot of money selling to collectors and buy Hondas.

It is okay to do a google search for the above ..........but do NOT search "cowboy porn actor" ....

I have to go to the workshop now to clear my head.

Jim

You want to try "fun on the farm" then. Cowboys, animals and children.
