Does anyone have a recommendation for a good hard chroming company?
UK or Europe preferred.
I have some stanchions needing re-done.

Good. I had found them on the net but wanted some feedback first.

Muchas gracias se?ores.

If they are for Ceriani forks, I have a pair of new old stock stanchions floating around somewhere that I will never use.

Philpots did my M1R stanchions..........collected on a Monday......returned the following week-on-Friday......top job, would definitely use them again !.

Well, well, well. Nigh on 20 years ago I sent my Ceriani tubes to them for straightening and re finishing. It took a little be longer than suggested and there was an"um well, it was like this" conversation when I got to speak with someone.

One of my tubes split from top to bottom in an acid bath, 1/8 th gap top to bottom. Much apologies, mia culpa, would it be OK for you if we made a new pair for you? The price is still the same but we aren't going to charge for postage, and that includes return of the originals...

I have subsequently recommended them highly...

Davi Guzzi's fork tubes were quite pitted, Marzocchi, new from Stein Dinse at ?90/pair.

Philpots gave me absolutely great service but quoted and took 4 weeks if I remember correctly which was not a problem but I see faster times quoted. (This was 2011)

I sent the 2 pairs off to Philpots today. They have quoted up to 3 weeks turnaround.

No rush. I have the series 1 and the Mirage to finish off before I start on the series 2, which is where one pair come from.
