Have to log in to view the forum?

Starting yesterday I've had to log in to view the forum. Happens on both my Mac and iPad. Has anyone else had to do this?

Then someone better update the Welcome Screen on the Home Page where it says "Anyone can view the forum although registration is needed before you can post."

I note that in the "members online" section there are a high number of guests. Does this mean that some browsers can still access threads without logging on ?
If the "members only" function came as part of the software package, fair enough, not a lot can be done.
I do like open source forums. As someone who can be building a Laverda engine one week and something equally exotic the next, not having to join multiple forums is a blessing.

'Someone' just has, although the change may not be permanent once I have gathered some stats

No - anyone or anything viewing the forum page(s)/ thread titles (as presently configured) is counted as a guest. A few minutes ago there were 5 spiders from Bing & Google amongst those viewing.
