So go ahead & press the flanges down to the bearings leaving the key sticking out about 10 to 15mm. Loscar Laverda sf restoration on youtube shows excellent video but not all the process in detail. The new key I have in is on the tach left side (I guess it does not matter?) Ok then I do not need a horizontal press for the cams to fit in the head. Just heat & tapping. Do u hold the opposite side cam to keep it centered? Or will it just tap right in? I have access to the press but the owner of the shop told me he does not like me taking his mechanics time. Its a car place. I just buy the guy in the back beer. He lost a leg on a BMW, & worked as a BMW motorcycle mech for yrs & still likes motorcycles...We stopped it there in the pic. Just wanted to be sure. Now the key sticking out is slightly angled 2 to 3 degress out w/ space under in the groove. Tap that down in before pressing? Or will it iron out as it presses in? Hell Mike should know...
