Headlight options - 180mm Bosch

Bugger, I ordered one a couple of hours ago. $89 AUS delivered.

I thought I'd better buy one before the guy realises he can charge $300 plus. 

Cheap at half the price.

This is very interesting, however the vendor says that they are for the American market. Doesn't this mean that they are meant for vehicles that travel on the right side of the road, rather than the left?

The picture does show the dip part of the lens on the right side, so probably is for driving on the right. But my old 3c with 200mm headlight came that way and no 70s Queensland copper ever gave me a hard time about it. And if those bastards were ready to let it go, it's hard to imagine modern coppers will be any different (not necessarily a good assumption, I know).
If it's the headlight that came with the bike and nobody has said anything for 30 years, it would have to be a real bastard copper who'd hassle you over it. Especially since we're all clean cut, well dressed and well spoken these days, right?

If you log into the guys website you will see that he is selling either left or right side of the road lenses one is #944 the other is #945 your choice he has em both. I think he will sell em all by the end of the month. If you drive on the right its #945,

Hi Dave

are you absolutely sure? the seller says in his two different listings that #945 is for the American market (driving on the right), but I don't know for sure one way or the other.

I think you'll find that the left/right means the car not the road.

I found a PDF file with all the Bosch numbers for a lot of bikes that have used this size light.

The seller has somehow bought in a a number of pairs and is now flogging them off.

I'm already using a US lens in mine and I can't tell the difference. It's marginal on our bush roads.

I'm not worried about the coppers. Our bikes are illegal by today's standards anyway.

We only has 7 orders for Australia - 2 for Cam, 2 for me and 3 for you.  I have ordered them off SAE via Ebay, asked if he can supply these suitable for our driving on the left hand side of the road, and also to quote shipping for 7.  Once I get the total back, I will pay by PayPal and then emails both you and Cam a copy of the total amount and we can divide it all up.

You can both fix me up by PayPal afterwards - please do it as a gift when you do, so that I don't get hit for commission or anything..

Plus I'll need addresses from both of you to sort out getting them delivered to you once they arrive here in Sydney.  If ypou could both send these through my email address, that would be grand...

Cam, are you going to do anything about those Honda 750 exhausts in the US, because I will have some seafreight coming out of the US in a couple of months time, and am happy to help out if required.
