I keep looking into the Laverda forum so thought it is time to say hello.
I've had 3 Laverdas now for about 10 years but unfortunately they had been confined to the back of the garage while I keep using my lovely Guzzi Spada and a Trident I used to have also. The Guzzi is finally taking a rest now after 32 years for some refurbishment this season so it's time to get the other bikes out, though I'll be doing proper recommissioning first of course.
The 1971 750GT is a real looker, to me at least, and the one I intend to put on the road. I also have a beautiful 1972 750SF, plus a 1981 1200TS Mirage. This one I have already recommissioned and it's ready to go. Full service, clutch stripped to free off the stuck plates, carbs ultrasonically cleaned etc. It also has a side stand which is very useful. But I find it a bit heavy, probably no more than the Guzzi but on the limit for me.
So I decided to put that one up for sale to make room in the garage. Asking £7300 for the 1200.
Lots of good information on this forum (y) Cheers, Mick

Your 72 SF looks very much like an SF1, making it a 73 model even if registered in 72.

You're lucky to own all three and I really like the black Mirage which is priced very well. Compared to the 750s, is it an extra bulk factor or weight? But it must cruise nicely at high speeds.

Paul, yes you are correct about the SF, it is in fact a 73 model. I should read my log book properly!

TeddyG, the1200 is a great bike, but both the extra bulk and weight are steering me towards the 750GT, which is a good all-rounder. Must admit, my Guzzi is a hefty beast though, but a superb tourer.

Welcome! Is the paintwork on the GT orginal (or restored based on original)? The stripe really mutes the humped appearance of the GT tank. (my opinion about the humpness on the GT thank though ;) )
The GT stripe looks added at a later date to me. They did have them (sometimes) but broader and they didn’t go all the way around the tank like that but stopped under the knee pads, which are missing.
