EDIT - I don't think it is a 1971 anymore. But I really don't know what you have.
It looks like you have the early mud guards so 1969.
But it has a Laverda front brake which appeared in 1970.
No crossover pipe on the exhaust so earlier than 1970.
Bosch headlight so early.
Not all the parts on the bike appear to be from the same year.
What is the serial number on the motor?

Have not got that far yet, trying to gain as much knowledge as I can before I visit it

If you can get it cheap, buy it. Only the bean counters will care that it is not factory original. The 750's are very overbuilt and fun to ride but are not very fast bikes except for the 750SFC.
The big question, is the condition of the motor as the crankshaft can get expensive to fix. But, both my 750's (1968 and 1969) are still on the original crank and pistons so you may be OK.
And after looking more at the picture, I think you may have a 1970 750GT with the wrong fuel tank. There are many on the forum who know more than me and can answer the question of what you are looking at.

I’ve spent several years with 750 laverda and love it money doesn’t come into it if money is an issue run a mile
Passion is what means anything if you have a passion for it buy it it will all come out in the wash and it’s a laverda and if you love it the price doesn’t matter

What it costs depends on how capable you are yourself as a mechanic and what sort of network of capable people you have around you. You can get lots of advice here on the forum to find out the things to be most aware of. Unless you want to make it look like a new specific model it needn't cost a fortune to get a good rideable Laverda out to it.
