Here's One Sweet Guzzi ;o)

That looks lovely and sounds lovely! I've got a 950 T3 ex-Carabineri bike, that I've had for many years, that might be a less challenging ride comfort wise. Great bikes though, and the Tonti frame common through all the big block models makes for excellent handling, and even the smaller carbed/valves models have a good turn of speed ( In the UK, back in the mid 1970s, a T3 was speed trapped by Bike magazine at the Bruntingthorpe testing grounds on a two way run of 117mph).; not bad for an aircooled v-twin).

Looking back I still have Jim's eMail in my OutLook although I'll never hear from him again - Who Knows Where The Time Goes?

Sandy Denny died at age 31.

I used to play this song on strings and keyboard for myself - It's a Haunting Melody ;o)

At the risk of being thought to be a big ole sissy, this song still occasionally moves me to tears or at least wet eyes. I still remember where I was when I heard Sandy Denny had died, I did weep then…..

The MGS01 was a factory produced 'special' that was a limited production run of 50 machines, and was for 'track use only'. Ghezzi-Brian is, as you say, a boutique manufacturer, which has produced some rather special Guzzi engined motorcycles, in the same vein as Bimota.

Yes, there is reference in the MGOC to one MGS01 being road legalised. Incidentally, there is one for sale, raced at the Isle of Man Manx Grand Prix, recording the fastest ever average lap for a Moto Guzzi at 107mph; yours for piffling GBP 45,000.00!

Jim ordered the MG01 from the local dealer in Vancouver.
 
The one big difference between the MG01 and the Guzzi-Brian series, the MG-01 was not street legal in most world jurisdictions.
