High Pitched Screech

I haven't done much riding lately.A couple of times while attempting a cold start though the bike lets out a loud high pitched screech. It always starts but its struggling a bit to spin up on the first cold start,I am going to give the battery a good solid charge as I expect its a bot weak from lack of running. The sound I expect is the sprag. It this symptomatic of work needed on the sprag or just a low battery. The bike is a 3c with all the Jota bits, the battery is a whacking huge Deca and isn't to old and the starter motor was rebuilt not that long ago.Starts hot really easily

Vince,

Remove and check the sprag clutch as soon as possible.  Sounds like only 2 or 3 of the 6 rollers are doing their work and the clutch is slipping.  Probably only a set of springs needed if attended to soon, if you leave it, could crack the entire clutch because of local loading on the internal ramp ring thingy.

Sounds like it might be your starter sprag..mine did that too and I rebuilt it..no problems since. Do make sure your battery is fully charged, but that is probably not the problem.

Change the springs and rollers in the sprag ASAP to give it the best chance.
