Ah, I think my mate Phil is going with the Velo owners club.

Good to see a photo of the 4pot racer Marty. Magnificent little beast.
I'm sure you will have lots of FUN.

I was looking forward to going to this but it's not happening, I haven't seen the boat tail cars since Amaroo Race Circuit went tits up. Watching them wrestle those huge bus-like steering wheels attached to skinny wheels was fantastic to see. Nice and slow so easy to see them slide out of bends.

Well there I was thinking it was this weekend and it's next weekend, must pull my finger out and get new shocks mounted.

Keep an eye out for the Velocette Owners, my mate Phil should be there on his Le Mans II (obviously not a Velo...).

Nominated my dry lap time 1.49, sliding all over the place, don't think I'm in the hunt for a trophy. Second race wet track but not raining. Still sliding the back around. Was going really well till my foot slipped under the throttle. Probably lost 5 seconds on lap 4. Heaps of fun😁

Great event at an interesting little track I'd not been to before - really nice setup. Concrete walls directly around the outside of most corners looked interesting... sort of like a squiggley bitumen speedway circuit! Weather was very Phillip-Islandey. Marty dicing it up in the wet with two other completely different cars (one a huge early truck-like thing, one a tiny spindly little device with a 1000cc v-twin) was most entertaining! Chris' Chater-Lea sounded on-song even if the gearbox looked like a (literal) handful. Superb work both bikes.

Hey Vince, yes, a proper diff, but the sidecar tyres fitted have minimal contact patch, great in the dry, bit dicey in the wet. Nearly looped it a couple of times, huge fun!

A few more photos. Chris and the 1926 Brooklands 350 face cam Chater lea, 100 mph on the banked track, imagine that! My main competitor, a 1000cc v twin GN. Chain drive solid rear axle, the from wheels bounce when he goes through the corners!!! Everyone's got a supercharger.......
The rudge Ulster looks the real deal, long tank, machine turned engine plates, real nice. He nearly threw it down the road in the slippery conditions, nice save.
