History of an Aussie Jota

Hi all for any possible lurker Aussie Laverda enthusiasts out there I am trying to find out some history of a 1981 Jota that I have been rebuilding.
The bike was purchased from a chap in Western Australia from a bloke by the name of Julian Besser from Geraldton Western Australia the registration number was UP 6226. Prior to this the bike was owned by a bloke by the name of Gregory Spencer he lived in the Brisbane area possibly north side of the Gold Coast and sold the bike in 1996 its registration in QLD was KX -2466, prior to Greg owning the bike a chap by the name of Peter Jacobs from Morningside owned the bike and he was a member of QLD club Laverda

Julian was an engineer on the ship Cape Hawke in the mid eighties running to Christmas Island and Jakarta. He used to buy vintage bikes cheap in Jakarta and bring them down for his collection. I recall a nice BMW 250 single once. I doubt if a Laverda would have been found up there but it’s possible.

No, KX prefix was only in the last ten years or so. My ZX750R is KX and that was registered in Qld about ten years ago

Well thanks to Chris H I have now learnt that one of the previous owners has since died, I am going to try his widows phone number to see what else I can learn of my new 81 Jota's history.
