Holding instruments in place, rubber cord

Interesting way of reducing instrument vibration,at least I'll be able to watch the smiths needles flickering now. Threads 5mm dia rubber between instrument and housing. Instruments RSM 3003/11a and SSM 5001/14 for the rivet counters, not sure wuich model they are from.
