How much taller fork stem cap

I made a taller fork stem cap for my SF2 and was curious about how tall is too tall? The prototype hex is 3/8 or 9.5mm. The groove is there to identify it as "use only for fitment"

My answer for how tall the hex is, is 6.5 mm. 6061 aluminum will be a bit stronger than the cast parts. Now for some polishing...

6.5mm is fine, plenty of meat there for a good whack with a flat screwdriver and hammer next time you have to loosen it

Mine now require Vicegrips, maybe some nice man will make me a new set of fork caps with built in Fork spring adjusting bolts. Maybe they will arrive soon.
