How to remove the Bosch ignition/light switch on a Laverda 750 GT Bosch headlight

Hi can anybody help with the removal process for the main ignition?light switch on a Bosch headlight, I am having problems with the switch and wiring to the switch. tia

The wiring is screwed into the posts.
The switch plate is held into the headlight shell by 4 tabs that pass through the plate and are bent over.
Be careful not to break them.

Why do you want that plate out?

Thanks Paul, the switch is not working properly and I hoped to take it out and repair it. There is current passing when the switch is off. Hence I cannot switch the lights on/off.

They are quite simple things.
Try checking before taking it out that the wiring is correct and that there isn't a short in the switch, or elsewhere.
