And talk to Darty (CLQ) about his handcrafted alloy side-stands. Top shelf.

How is the sidestand attached to the cases?

blu tack?

I like the high level exhausts, some Nortons had something similar but the mufflers were longer and had a narrower taper.

But what is it with the gear change linkage?

cheers

The seat tank unit is all a bit too round looks reminds me of one of those aprilia from 1995 , the Starck 6.5

Nice exhausts but

Copy that. Great craftsmanship bit it lacks vision. And i hate cast wheels. Shouldve stuck to some nice spokeys.

Bike has been discussed somewhere here before.  Nicely finished but some pretty questionable engineering, rear engine mounts jumped out at me.  It's clearly only built to look at, I quite like it even if I agree the bodywork is a bit too roly-poly and is accentuated by the graphics.  I don't mind the cast wheels - nice Campag-replica 5 spoke Marvics - but it would perhaps have looked a bit better with spokies.  Given it's not going to be ridden anyway the extra weight wouldn't matter.

For the sidestand, there are four nice big main bearing cap bolts right there, with an appropriate bracket and spacers you could make something really strong (more so than the rear engine mounts lolz).  Dad's DB1 back in the day had a similar lack of frame members down the bottom and Bimota just welded the sidestand onto the thinwall exhaust pipe!  Worked for a while...  :D

They like to call these type of stands in the off-road world, Race Stands. Lightweight and only made to hold the bike up so absolutely no sitting on the bike with the stand deployed. Some of the modern big KTM twins have the stand bolted to the engine case, and quite a few have had said stand get knocked and smashed off the case, mucho expense. So they make kits to relocate said DUMB stand mount to a better situation.

Holy Shaez!! That is insane, Steve!

Also, have a close look at the rear brake linkage. Could have been much simpler and likely more effective.

See what you mean; classic case of form over function.
Those rear engine mounts look all wrong; considering that the engine is considered part of the frame, those mounts might last five kays but the over-tight chain might cause havoc with the countershaft before then.

Nice styling exercise but.

I do like the high pipes. Always a personal favorite on early Ducati v twins after grinding the front pipe, lifting the front wheel and falling off from time to time.

As for the tank and seat? I have had big bowel moments that looked much better.
