Hydraulic hoses

G'day folks

I'm putting together a shopping list for parts to build some hydraulic hoses for the RGS track bike. I'll be using Venhill fittings and hose. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/*thracing*/m.html?item=141157880722&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I know what I need for the brake lines, but I dunno what fitting is required at the bottom end of the clutch line because my cover/slave cylinder is presently in Red's workshop. I'd guess the cover has a M10 x 1.00 female thread with concave seat. Can somebody confirm?

Thanks,
Cam

Correct Cam, but it seals with a copper washer.  Ideally you need to allow for twist in the line, so it's best to have a swivel fitting at the bottom.  Normally you'd get a M10x1 to 3/8unf male convex adapter, and a 3/8unf concave swivel end fitting for the line.  The rubber lines were obviously spongy enough that this was not required.

Hi Cam,
I used Venhill on the Motodd. Nice product. Advantage is the fittings just screw on the ends so acts as a swivel in any case. Heaps of bling colours available but I went for plain black.
You'll see them on my Motodd rebuild thread discussing my rear brake issues. Not bad price either.

Yeah, I used them on a friend's Guzzi a while back. Nice easy to use product. I used un-sheathed stainless braid for that bike (owner's preference). But I reckon I'll get some black sheathed for my bike. I don't want attract too much scrutiny from the roadworthy inspector, so will go for plain black so it looks as near original as possible. Perhaps that's wishful thinking on a bike that will look nothing line an original RGS, but the local inspector doesn't know much about bikes, so hopefully he'll be none the wiser.
