I bought a 1976 3CL

Hopefully just a light recomission, love the seat.
It's already running.
Luckily, I have a few spare sets of carbs. Swopped them out, new plugs, and it started literally first time. No nasty noises.
Personally not so sure about the seat, though!
Now I need to fix the brakes, which are seized on. I had to use the electric winch to get it up on the bench 😳

As it turns out, the wiring is a rat‘s nest ….

Someone’s done a nice enough job with the strip connectors, not much copper showing, but I think I can see a couple of hot spots developing. Good to catch it early 👍
What’s wrapped in the foam?

It'll be the indicator relay, Andy.
Did something similar with mine, back in the day. A metal boxed relay crammed in with all that wiring. What could go wrong?
