I need a flasher unit for my mirage.

Probably none of my business, but why would you want a second hand one?

There's a million different flasher units on ebay for only a few bucks.
The ones Laverda used were nothing special, just a 2-pin bi-metal (thermal) relay in an aluminium can. You can find them for about ?5 on ebay.
If you want to upgrade, for a similar price you can get an electronic one that's independent of load. You then have the option of using LED indicators (without parallel resistors) if you want to.
 
I know it?s off topic a little, but I was looking at rodbargee?s avatar, and it made me think, a Z1000J tank would look good on a TS. I think? I?m not a big fan of the skinny little 1200 tanks.

Agree with 'chrisk' .... that tank would look good (if my bars would clear it at full lock).

As to indicator boxes, anyone know what current the average 'electronic' version would handle?
I picked up a no-name for the LED blinkers (not yet mounted) and wonder if I'll kill it with the load of the incandescents.

Does the Mirage have the same square two pin honda/lucas style flasheras my 3c? It uses Honda Part Numbers: 38300-292-670.

Incandescent indicator globes are usually 21W, so will draw around 1.75A. A normal indicator system will energise two globes in parallel, about 3.5A.

The lowest specified current rating I've seen for an electronic flasher relay is 6A, which doesn't have a huge safety margin but will do the job. But with a cheapo no-name brand, who knows?

Try it and see. What's the worst that can happen?

Let's see - worst case scenario. OK, I suppose the flasher unit could overheat, burst into flames, set fire to your bike, cause you to crash into a petrol tanker which could then burst into a massive fireball and veer into a children's hospital, killing hundreds of kids and medical staff. Then the fire could spread to nuclear power plant, causing a meltdown and turning the whole country into a nuclear wasteland like Chernobyl. If the government mistakenly assumes it's an attack by a foreign power, it could trigger a full-scale nuclear world war, killing all life on earth.  Go on, give it a try.  :D

We do, we do!  :D.  Thing to remember is that Laverda was only a small, small manufacturer; so, outside the engine, most everything was sourced from open market suppliers.

Which means that today we can pretty much do the same!
