ID on 38mm Cer

Does anyone have a 38mm Cer fork handy, I need the ID to calculate the volume taken per 10mm added the oil height. My plan is to slowly add 10mm to the oil height calculated by volume in ML till I lose a bit of travel. I am using all the 130mm of travel with 185mm of oil height, its not hard bottoming but I would prefer to just not bottom at all.
 
The ID is 32mm.

What’s your air gap currently, springs and all the gold valve gubbins out. Just start playing with air gap.
 
A lot of that Data was generated by a couple of NSW Laverda blokes, Doug Home and Chris Pritt. The conventional wisdom had 130 to 140mm of oil height and that what I have used. Last time I used 185mm, with no had bottoming but I am using all the travel available at 130mm of fork movement. I just want to pull the caps and using a syringe add the equivalent of an added 10mm of oil level high and see when I stop using all the travel.
So I just did the cal and its 8.04cc, I might just double that and see what happens
 
It's going to be way easier to do what I am up to, its a 10th the time to do than bottoming the fork and using height and less mess, and the result will be the same in the end, Sag is good so no added preload needed

That will soon change once you up the volume Vince........
 
Good idea Vince. Saves messy frigging around. You can add volume as required because you know its effect on air gap. If it's too much (ie too small an air gap) you can syringe it out again. if you still bottom out I reckon you need different spring rates or spring type.

Nice to see you've replaced your LONG, weary Suspension mods post! ;)
