ID SF Body parts

Hello Everyone!
I have a set of front and rear fenders that are supposedly from a '72 SF these fenders have traces of blue paint on them. 
I have always thought SF fenders were chromed.

Also I have the upper and lower chain guards, supposedly from the same '72 SF, that have also been painted blue.  Again I thought these pieces were always chromed.
Please educate me.  (bowdown)

Hi Larry, SF fenders were always stainless steel - no paint, chain guards were chromed steel - no paint!

(bowdown) Thanks Gert. I have never seen, held, SF fenders before.  Just purchased a pair and they are dull with traces of paint on them. 
I will get some polish and see what develops. See if I can see myself!
