Ignitech accessories

Was looking at some discussion on another thread and wondered if there are any ignitech accessories that might be a good addition to the bike to keep it running sweet? A friend mentioned the lambda sensors for example.

We stock a few Ignitech accessories and have the Lambda sensors on the 3C race bike. And, as usual, not everything has been photographed or listed yet. We have all the Ignitec trigger plates and pickups, also CDI parts not associated directly with Laverda but to service the classic racing scene in general, and go-karts using RS125 engines at times also.

If you see anything you'd like us to stock feel free to contact us on the website and we'll get it in.

There are other sensor and instrument manufacturers that we will be stocking shortly, just takes time sourcing the best products for the application.

ay Carlo, I have ridden sweet running motorcycles for over 45 years and none of them had lambda sensors fitted and very few had electronic ignition.
I suggest your next step is to check all the basics (with some local help?) and get all those basics correctly setup and it will extract more power.
The simple low-cost option imho.

Yep that?s what I?m doing. But I?m a geek so like to know what?s available.

The bike runs well already post last tune, and will be even sweeter once I?ve tuned with stacks.

It's for peace of mind most times. Having a Lambda sensor readout where you can see it is a preventitive measure against leaning-out fuel. Lots of very basic reasons why this can happen to an already well carburettored engine... fuel blockage, surge, tank vent indaquate, clip falls of the needle etc.

When testing/developing a new exhaust systems the readout is handy to see exactly what is going on in real time on the track. We often put the Lambda readout next to the tacho and point a GoPro that can see the track, the tacho and the readout at the same time. Often see quite different results to what we get on the accelerator dyno but similar to the water brake dyno.
Pumper Carbs can give misleading readings on the accelerator dyno because so much fuel lies around on the floor of the port, it can't be atomised or used in an 8 second rev up run. Also, if running open velocity stacks the dyno room is acting like a huge airbox with little turbulence. On the the track the velocity stacks are dealing with +200kmh wind turbulence that can affect their operation.

It's just another handy tool to have actually.
