Is it possible that the regulator on my bike could be sending irregular current into the system.

The electrickery guy suggested that this may account for some of the strange behaviour of aftermarket electric gizmos I have tried.

Is it possible that the regulator on my bike could be sending irregular current into the system.

All things are possible, grasshopper.  Such a failure mode is atypical of the OE r/r in my experience. Short circuits or high volts more likely, assuming voltage sense connection is good.

My use of the word 'current' may be spurious.
