Ignitech Sparker TCIP4 needed

In Sept 2017 I purchased an Ingitech "Sparker RCIP4 4CH v88 " for Hall effect sensors from Red at Redax. For reasons unknown, the ignition unit failed yesterday.
Question--does Red still supply these units, if so could someone help me with his contact details? If not, is there any other source for the Ignitech 4CH unit?

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
I wasn't sure whether he is still a supplier as I couldn't find a webpage.
 
Come on boys at least let Red get home at least . its a long long way back from Darwin on your own.
 
Ah, he'll check his emails, have one in the van, and send it from the next roadhouse he runs into between Darwin and Brisbane :cool:

Hi Maurice, I've put it on the bench, simulated the two 5v sensor pulse inputs with a signal generator and there was no output pulses for the coils. (This test worked for me when I first set them up in 2017.)
The RS232 COM interface doesn't work either.
Some component seems to have gradually failed because it would work for a few very brief periods and then it finally failed completely. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary in using the bike. Fortunately I was uphill from home!
If I can get a new one I will see if I can open this one up and troubleshoot it but it might be a sealed case, not sure yet.
Do you know of any other decent ignitions if I can't get a replacement?

Hi chuck you can buy a module direct from ignitech I havent done it myself but a good mate of mine just got one for me in less than a week.
You may find that the later version V96 is what is now available just will just need to download the V96 software.

I'm sure Red will be able to supply once he gets back from Darwin and has caught his breath.

Liam at FastBike did a lot of work to understand the system & getting it to work well on Ducatis. He wrote a detailed manual to share his knowledge - provides useful tips for anyone wanting to delve into the functions. Not necessary with the plug and play service from Red!
 
Very interesting update (to me anyway).....I had the faulty Ignitech TCPI4 on my test bench with a simulated sensor input and the USB connected. It had been in the cold overnight (room heater off). It was not working-still faulty.

On a hunch I applied mild heat to the unit. Sure enough it kicked into action. The temperatures here have been avg 15C. It had a cold??
A component in there is having a temperature problem.

Anyway, I'm still searching for a new one.
 
Could well be. It's back to normal now but I'm going to let it sit outside tonight and check again tomorrow. Can't trust this unit after this, I'll still get a replacement.
Red is back next week Maxene said. I wrote to Ignitech to see if any other units from 2017 have had similar problems. Will post if I find out anything. (Hot water bottle comes to mind as the newest Laverda accessory)
